The new couch came today!!  And Ottoman!

It's called "soap bubble."  It looks like a brownish orange-y color from a few feet away.  But when you get up close, depending on what angle you are looking at it, the dominant woven color green, orange or red give the couch a kind of glimmer/sheen of that shade, it may sound hokey, but it looks incredible.  The vintage style really suits the rest of the place too!

This is the old record cabinet that Rachel found, fixed and painted.

An here's stinky!  He's so happy to have Rachel!  He always tries to sit on her shoulder/lap first!  And it's nice, because Rach and I have such opposite schedules, he's literally alone for no more than two hours any given day!!

As you can see, we still have boxes everywhere and the place is a bit of a mess, we need to buy a bookshelf, and lots of other dinky things.  Next purchase . . . definitely a real cowhide rug!!  Life is good!

Rach and I recently went to the Avalon theater!  Huge arcade with giant movie screens and vintage nickle arcade games!  Next door is Fizz!  Awesome candy and authentic soda jerk!!  Rachel had a Peach Champagne flavored soda with added on phosphates (which add a huge tangy punch) and a shot of heavy whipping cream!!  So amazing!  I got a sour apple soda with added phosphates!  So tart it was making my mouth pucker like crazy.  They had a huge selection of sodas (they even do GREEN RIVER floats!) including Moxie, and this Bacon soda.  Crazy!  Fun times!
